2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N: The Most Powerful Hyundai Sedan Yet
Exciting news for performance car enthusiasts! The most powerful Hyundai sedan ever is just a few months away from its big reveal. The 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N, Hyundai's latest high-performance electric car, has been confirmed for production and is set to arrive in Australia next year.
Hyundai Ioniq 6 N: A Game Changer
Hyundai’s N division has officially announced the development of the Ioniq 6 N, a high-performance version of the sleek electric sedan designed to compete with the Tesla Model 3. It builds on the success of the Ioniq 5 N, which boasts 478kW of power and has set a new benchmark for EV performance.
Set for its global debut in July—potentially at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed—the Ioniq 6 N has already been teased with a bold rear spoiler and blacked-out detailing. Spy photos suggest wider wheel-arch flares, a striking ‘swan-neck’ rear wing, 21-inch alloy wheels, high-performance brakes, and an aggressive design inspired by Hyundai’s RN22e concept.
More Power, More Speed
Reports indicate that the Ioniq 6 N could surpass the 478kW/770Nm output of the Ioniq 5 N, potentially making it the fastest Hyundai ever. With a more aerodynamic shape and a possible power boost, this electric sedan could deliver a 0-100km/h time even quicker than the Ioniq 5 N’s blistering 3.4 seconds.
Additionally, the Ioniq 6 N is expected to offer an improved driving range over the Ioniq 5 N’s 448km, thanks to its lower and more aerodynamic body.
Expected Arrival in Australia
The first Australian deliveries of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N are anticipated in early 2026, pending any delays. However, it may also become the most expensive Hyundai sold in Australia, with the Ioniq 5 N already priced at $110,383 plus on-road costs.
