2025 Mahindra Pik-Up: A Sneak Peek at the Updated Ute banner

The Mahindra Pik-Up, the sole ute offering from the Indian automotive giant, has been spotted testing in India with a subtle yet noticeable front redesign for the 2025 model year. As Mahindra continues to evolve its vehicle lineup, the Pik-Up's latest iteration brings fresh styling cues and enhanced features, making it an exciting prospect for ute enthusiasts in Australia.

Subtle Yet Significant Redesign

The 2025 Mahindra Pik-Up has undergone a subtle front-end redesign, drawing inspiration from the Mahindra Scorpio SUV. While retaining the same bonnet design, the headlight units now feature a smokey tint, adding a modern touch to the vehicle's appearance. The most significant changes are evident in the grille and front bumper design.

Front Grille and Bumper

The new grille moves away from the Jeep-like vertically-arranged rectangles, adopting the six vertical chrome slats seen on the Scorpio. This update is complemented by Mahindra's new 'Twin Peaks' logo, replacing the outgoing oval design. The front bumper has also been revamped, with the black plastic strip across the middle being replaced by a larger body-coloured centrepiece that houses the front number plate. The fog light housings have been reshaped, and smaller fog light lamps are positioned below a strip of LED daytime running lights.

Rear Tailgate

At the rear, Mahindra badging is prominently displayed on the tailgate, along with a practical pull-up handle, ensuring the vehicle’s robust look is maintained from all angles.

Powertrain and Performance

The Mahindra Pik-Up continues to be powered by a reliable 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, producing 103kW of power and 320Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an Aisin-sourced six-speed automatic transmission and a part-time four-wheel drive system, providing ample power and versatility for various driving conditions.

Pricing and Availability

In Australia, the dual-cab chassis 4x4 variant starts at an attractive $37,990 drive-away, while the dual-cab pickup variant is available for $38,500 drive-away. The Pik-Up is available in a single specification, the S11, offering a balance of functionality and affordability.

What’s New for 2025

  • Front-End Redesign: New grille with six vertical chrome slats, modernised fog light housings, and smokey tinted headlights.
  • Updated Bumper: Body-coloured centrepiece with front number plate mounting, redesigned to enhance the vehicle's modern look.
